Tuesday night’s 2023 Federal Budget from Treasurer Jim Chalmers was targeted with pinpoint accuracy, focused on assisting with cost-of-living pressures faced by some of the most vulnerable Australians.

Recipients of Jobseeker, Austudy, Parenting Payment, Disability Support Pension and Youth Allowance payments can all expect an increase of $40 per fortnight. Whilst the maximum rates for Commonwealth Rent Assistance will increase by 15% helping over 1.1 million Australians.
