CPD Seminar on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in Hong Kong for Listed Companies
There are more than 2000 listed companies in Hong Kong. As Hong Kong represents a high standard of corporate governance in capital market, there are numbers of listing rules governing the listed companies on how to run effectively. As required in Mainboard Listing rules appendix 27, the board has overall responsibility for an issuer's ESG strategy and reporting. In line with the Corporate Governance Code, the board is responsible for evaluating and determining the issuer's ESG-related risks, and ensuring that appropriate and effective ESG risk management and internal control systems are in place.
This seminar aims to discuss the ESG reporting framework, examples of ESG disclosures and steps of getting ready for reporting, and how to improve ESG reporting with real life examples. International sustainability guideline will also be addressed and discussed with attendants.
