At RSM, it is important to us to give back to the wider communities in which we operate and to support local charities. We are dedicated to operating in a socially and enviromentally responsible way to better the communities which we work and live in.
Our 2019 CSR partner is Peter McVerry Trust. So far this year, we have had a number of fundraising events across the office, including a clothing drive, a bake sale, and participation in a run. We also volunteered at the charity's' detox centre. We have a team taking part in the Peter McVerry 'Welcome Home' cycle in September and are hosting a table quiz in September with all procceeds going to the Peter McVerry Trust. We are always on the lookout for new CSR committee members.
Partnering with the Peter McVerry Trust in 2018 and 2019 has allowed us to help this very worthy cause to continue to provide their services. Our aims are to provide financial support through fundraising, contribute our time through volunteer work and raise awareness of the Peter McVerry Trust's fantastic work.
Team Trophy
We partnered with the Peter McVerry Trust last year too and a highlight of our project was being awarded the ‘Team Trophy’ at the Wexford cycle for our CSR efforts. Past winners include large firms with far more resources than RSM, including Allianz, AIB, Vodafone and BT Ireland. This award was a testament to the hard work of all involved in our project.

About Peter McVerry Trust
Peter McVerry Trust is a charity set up by Fr Peter McVerry to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage. Peter McVerry Trust provides low-threshold entry services, primarily to younger people and vulnerable adults with complex needs, and offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the Housing First model. The vision of the charity is an Ireland that supports all those on the margins and upholds their rights to full inclusion in society.
