Sonnedix increases its operating capacity in Italy by an additional 8.2 MW through the acquisition of two portfolios of plants.
Six photovoltaic facilities, located in Terni and Atessa (CH), with a total capacity of 5.2 MW, have been incorporated through the acquisition of the entire share capital of RDC Holding, Fin Project, Marisolar and Redsun, held by Silver Ridge Power Italia (Amaranto Group). The portfolio consists of two integrated stations on parking platforms and four stations integrated on the roofs of industrial buildings.
Three ground plants located in Puglia, for a total power of 3MW, have been acquired by Melfin Srl (Melchioni Group).
All these systems benefit from the incentive tariff recognized by GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici) according to the "Energy Account" scheme and are operational since 2011/12.
In both transactions, Sonnedix was assisted by RSM Studio Palea Lauri Gerla - with a team composed by Maria Luisa Appendino, Davide Sicuranza and Francesco Citerni and led by Cristiano Lenti, partner of the Firm, with regard to financial and fiscal issues and by Duff & Phelps REAG, as technical advisor.
Legal advice was provided by Norton Rose Fulbright and Raffaelli Segreti, respectively for the transaction with Silver Ridge Italia and the Melchioni Group.
"It is our great satisfaction - declares Cristiano Lenti - to play such a significant role in Sonnedix's impressive growth in Italy, having already accompanied it in several acquisition transactions. This enriches our qualified experience in the renewable energy sector, which will increasingly play a leading role in Italy and worldwide".
With the latest operations, Sonnedix consolidates its position as the third largest player in the Italian photovoltaic market in terms of installed capacity, distributed over a portfolio of 118 plants for about 242 MWp.
