UNDERSTANDING LATIN AMERICA

The COVID-19 pandemic revolutionised everything, generating new ways of doing business in the process. In 2020, Latin American economies were confronted with balancing fiscal deficits with the need to help companies and citizens alike to deal with the many unprecedented challenges created by the virus. But things are changing. According to estimates from the International Monetary Fund, Latin America will see a recovery of more than 4% in 2021 alone. In many cases, COVID-19 has acted as an accelerator for Latin American companies to move more quickly on previously planned projects such as the digitalisation of their processes, the shift towards e-commerce and the reconfiguration of supply chains.
