Liz is a Consultant, based at RSM New Zealand (Auckland). Born and bred in Auckland, Liz Groenewegen has lived and worked in the Manukau region for over 30 years. With her dynamic personality and drive, Liz has grown the client base in South Auckland, increasing the staffing and upsizing the premises accordingly.
Liz cares about business and growth, particularly within the fast-developing East Tamaki area which is a strategically located manufacturing and distribution hub of about 2,000 businesses, but also for clients from right across Auckland.
Liz is a decision maker who thrives on the challenge of working with a variety of clients across a broad spectrum of industries.
Where I started
“I joined RSM in 2002, initially working at our Papakura branch, then moving in 2005 to the East Tamaki branch. Three years later (and three times the size!) we relocated our branch to our current premises in Highbrook, and were subsequently joined by the partners and team from the Central Auckland Branch and from our Manukau Branch more recently.
Our Highbrook team has grown to 9 partners and 50 plus staff, giving us critical mass and a wealth of experience to draw on, in the heart of the fastest growing commercial area in Auckland.”
What I do
“I am committed to helping clients achieve success through continuous improvement and getting the numbers right.
I work closely with my experienced team to provide clients with services and support in the following areas:
- Financial Reporting & Taxation
- Management reporting
- Business Advisory services
- Business valuations, sales and acquisitions
- Restructures
- Business planning and budgeting”
Who I am
"Aside from my role as Partner at RSM, I have been treasurer of the Greater East Tamaki Business Association (GETBA) for 5 years, and a founding member of Highbrook Rotary. I was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2014.
I am married with an adult family, and in my spare time I enjoy golf (being competitive by nature) and spending time out on the water.”
