Mwauluka Mubano
Senior Manager - Audit & Technical


Mwauluka is an Audit Manager based in the Auckland Central office. Mwauluka started his professional career with Deloitte in Zambia working with large companies in the manufacturing, mining, mining related and forestry industries.

With over 14 years’ experience, Mwauluka has had significant auditing and accounting experience in both Zambia and New Zealand.

In New Zealand, the bulk of Mwauluka’s work involves assisting clients with external audit, internal audits and has also undertaken a number of AML/CFT audits. Over time, Mwauluka has developed his passion for technical accounting and has assisted clients with their transition to International Financial Reporting Standards as well as Public Benefit Entity Standards.

He has also been Nexia New Zealand’s quality control risk manager ensuring the firm complies with the ethical, professional and regulatory requirements.


Mwauluka graduated from the Copperbelt University in Zambia with a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree.  Mwauluka is a Qualified Auditor in New Zealand, Chartered Accountant and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).  He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

A Qualified Auditor, Mwauluka is qualified to audit FMC Reporting Entities and other public interest entities in New Zealand. 


Mwauluka is married to Namate and has two young daughter.  He enjoys time with his family, playing and watching soccer, watching rugby as well as being a consistent participant in charity runs.
