Teresa Villegas-Chong
Audit Manager


Teresa is a Manager - Audit based in the Auckland Central office.   Before migrating to New Zealand in 2013, Teresa previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Singapore and Brunei Darussalam, handling audit engagements of various industries for local and overseas companies. She also worked for 2 mid-tier Chartered Accounting firms in Auckland prior to joining RSM.

Teresa has comprehensive audit and assurance experience overseas in various industries including banks, insurance, manufacturing and trading companies.

In New Zealand, she handles trading and services companies and non profit organisations of small to medium sized entities and also some special assignments on Research & Development audits.

Teresa graduated from St. Paul University Manila  with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Accounting. Teresa has an overseas professional qualification as well as being a current member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), pursuing Chartered Accountancy.


Teresa is married to a Malaysian-Chinese with two loveable sons.

Outside work, Teresa is an active Minister in their local Christian Church, underwent trainings overseas on this and continues her passion to serve the Church and share to people her faith through her life testimony.

Apart from her native language, Tagalog, Teresa speaks English and understands Malaysian and Chinese Mandarin dialects.
