On 24 June 2020, Government has issued Decree No. 68/2020/ND-CP (“Decree 68”) amending and supplementing Clause 3, Article 8, Decree No. 20/2017/ND-CP on guiding tax administration for enterprises engaging in related party transactions.
Decree 68 took effect from the date of signing and is applied for Corporate Income Tax ("CIT") year of 2019.
On 27 May 2020, the Government issued Decree 58/2020 ND-CP (“Decree 58”), providing guidance on employer’s contribution to the SI fund for occupational diseases and accident. Decree 58 comes into effect on 15 July 2020.

The Ministry of Finance recently held a press conference to discuss a draft new tax law amending the current laws on VAT, Special Sales Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax and Natural Resources Tax.
Individual investors that participate in derivatives trading market have to pay a 0.1 per cent income tax for derivatives trading transactions.
The tax is imposed on the trading prices of derivatives transactions, which could be sell and buy orders and expiry of the futures contracts.
The Ministry of Finance has held a meeting to introduce changes in the list of Viet Nam’s export and import goods as per Circular No 65/2017 / TT-BTC.
The new circular will take effect from January 1 next year.

The Law No. 60/2014/QH13, dated November 20, 2014, on civil status came into force since January 1, 2016.
The Civil Code and six amended laws on State Budget, Press, Pharmacy, Fees and Charges, Accounting, and amendments to Article 6 and Annex 4 of the Law on Investment took effect since January 1, 2017.
