Proposed new tax law

The Ministry of Finance recently held a press conference to discuss a draft new tax law amending the current laws on VAT, Special Sales Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax and Natural Resources Tax.

Derivatives trading: Individual investors must pay 0.1% tax

Individual investors that participate in derivatives trading market have to pay a 0.1 per cent income tax for derivatives trading transactions. The tax is imposed on the trading prices of derivatives transactions, which could be sell and buy orders and expiry of the futures contracts.
