Blackline acquires Rimilia to add ai-powered accounts receivable automation to modern accounting platform

BlackLine, Inc., a leader in accounting automation software, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Rimilia, an AI-powered cloud-based platform that enables accounts receivable (AR) automation and digital transformation.  With Rimilia, BlackLine strengthens its position with the Office of the Controller by driving end-to-end automation of the cash lifecycle and ensuring greater data integrity.  The acquisition expands BlackLine’s capabilities into an adjacent area, adding AR automation to financial close automation and accelerating BlackLine’s larger, long-term plan for transforming and modernizing Finance & Accounting. 

Knowbe4 wins second consecutive award in annual cybersecurity breakthrough program

KnowBe4, the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, today announced that it has been named the winner for the second consecutive year of the “Security Awareness Training Platform of the Year” award in the fourth annual CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards program conducted by CyberSecurity Breakthrough, a leading independent market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global information security market today. Known for its security awareness training platform and its Learner Experience (LX) Knowbe4 now has a new Learner Dashboard that provides a comprehensive display of a learner’s training activities and simulated phishing test results. KnowBe4 platform administrators can also choose to enable phishing, risk and gamification options for the tiles they want to include. As part of the KnowBe4 LX interface, language localization options extend to the Learner Dashboard and are available in 25+ languages.

Meet Odoo 14

Odoo is proud to announce the release of Odoo 14, the most beautiful and intelligent version of Odoo to date. This year, our Website Builder underwent massive changes, reworked the builder to make it more intuitive, with providing more options, customizations, widgets, and blocks to help users design outstanding pages. Odoo also worked on improving the visual aspect of its MRP and Inventory apps. Several menus have been added, or moved to a more suitable position to offer a better vision of all the process’ actions. Besides, The growing demand for a mobile interface for PoS has been heard. Odoo Point of Sale is now 100% mobile-friendly. This improvement comes with the asked possibility of modifying a PoS’ configuration while a session is open.

The latest release of Enterprise A2019 platform delivers improved quality and experience, with new features. Automation Anywhere Discovery Bot is a significant component of Enterprise A2019.15. Available natively on the platform, Discovery Bot eliminates the challenges associated with traditional process discovery methods. It accelerates and scales automation projects by identifying repetitive manual process steps and generating bots to automate them with one click. Automation Anywhere made more enhancements to Bot Insight by giving users additional visualization options to get the data they need; in the format they want. Enhancement on IQ bot is also introduced with two document processing capabilities in this release that improves document extraction accuracies before the documents are sent to IQ Bot.

Understanding a changing threat landscape in light of COVID19

Organizations must become agile to respond effectively to the changing threat landscape, particularly in light of the turbulent events of 2020. In doing so however, organizations must be careful not to be overly swayed by certain threats that may gain a lot of news coverage, but do not necessarily pose the greatest danger. Instead, a “risk-based approach” should be employed that focuses on the fluidity of threats. As threats and organizational risk-pots change over time, businesses must evolve how they address the threat landscape and as threats continue to change and diversify. New business opportunities drive new security requirements that the public must address.

Cyber-criminals continue to exploit #COVID19 during Q2

Cyber-criminals’ exploitation of the COVID-19 pandemic to target individuals and businesses has continued unabated during the second quarter of 2020. It is observed that a continuous focus on phishing using COVID-19 lures in this period. This included criminals taking advantage of the rise in online shopping that has occurred during the pandemic, with a 10-fold increase in phishing emails impersonating one of the world’s leading package delivery services found in comparison to Q1.
