Firas Georges, CPA

Biography

Firas Georges, Partner in Assurance at RSM in Kuwait. He oversees IFRS advisory and audit transformation, leading external audits, due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) engagements. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Damascus University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Associate of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

He also serves on the RSM Global IFRS Committee and is a Senior Instructor for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) programs, with over 22 years of experience. He also leads fraud investigations, Basel III compliance, and anti-money laundering (AML) reviews. He has worked extensively across Kuwait, Iraq, and Syria, serving financial institutions, real estate firms, and multinational corporations. His work also includes advisory services for central banks.
