The future looks bright for Leeton Soldiers’ Club following the recent payments to its creditors as facilitated by the agreement with the Club’s Administrators and the implementation of the necessary governance, capital and operational improvements to safeguard its future.

Established in 1940, Leeton Soldiers’ Club is an ingrained cultural, community, sporting and entertainment asset for Leeton and its surrounding communities, providing members and their guests with dining, bar, gaming and major event, meeting and function facilities. This continues to include sporting facilities such as arguably the best lawn bowling facilities in the MIA, two synthetic tennis courts and Leeton’s only squash courts and its support of the RSL sub branch.
Secretary Manager, Adam McIntyre praised the Club’s directors, members, staff, creditors and the wider community including Leeton Shire Council, the creditors’ committee and the “Save our Soldiers” group for their contributions and support (including donations) over the period of administration, which was successful in restoring secure and profitable Club operations.
Tim Gumbleton and Andrew Bowcher from RSM Australia, the Club’s Administrators, acknowledged the significant improvement and turnaround in the Club’s fortunes noting the difficulties that had been overcome and the improvements that had been made whilst extending their appreciation and gratitude for the hard work, perseverance and support from all involved in ensuring the administration was a success.
The revitalisation and improvements to the Club will deliver for members and the community by continuing to provide a home for our talented sporting groups, employment opportunities and the best in Club dining, entertainment and events.
