Manabu Hatakeyama's distinguished background spans over three decades in legal administration within the Ministry of Justice, where he held numerous critical positions. His extensive career highlights include serving as Consul General at the Consulate General of Japan in New York, Chief Examiner of the Immigration Control Department, Director of the International Affairs Office, Director of the Refugee Recognition Office, and Director-General of both the Osaka and Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureaus. After retiring from the Ministry of Justice in March 2012, he continued to contribute as Director of overseas offices for the Japan International Training Cooperation Organization (JITCO) before joining Nakai Immigration Services LPC as an advisor in April 2017, where he significantly contributed to its growth. Effective July 2025, he will assume the role of Senior Advisor at RSM Shiodome Partners AS Co. following a merger.
