John Rod Lim

Manager

John Rod is a Manager in the Assurance Services practice, based in the George Town, Grand Cayman office of RSM. He has over 5 years of experience providing audit and assurance services to clients across the financial services and asset management sectors.

John Rod has extensive experience in financial services industry audits including mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, exchange-traded funds and products (ETFs and ETPs) and digital assets entities - digital assets funds (both DeFi & CeFi), DAOs, centralized exchanges and venture-backed blockchain investment vehicles.

He also has experience with investment manager companies, gaming companies, insurance entities: regulated traditional insurance and insurance captives, automotive dealership, start-ups, holding companies and consolidation. He is well-versed in auditing digital asset holdings, valuation methodologies, and related internal control environments.

He is highly skilled in the application of both U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) and IFRS Accounting Standards.
