The Government of Maharashtra has recently introduced the Maharashtra Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy 2025 with the objective of positioning the State as a leading destination for high-value GCC operations. The policy aligns with the broader national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and aims to attract multinational corporations, foster innovation-driven capability hubs, and generate large-scale high-skilled employment across emerging technology domains.

In this regard, please find our detailed newsflash summarising the key highlights of the policy. The policy extends a comprehensive suite of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives for eligible GCCs, including:

 Capital subsidies linked to fixed capital investment

•  Payroll reimbursement for high-skilled workforce

•  Rental and power tariff assistance

•  R&D and patent-linked financial support

•  Interest subsidy for eligible projects in Tier-2 regions

•  Incentives aligned with sustainability, innovation, and talent development mandates

The policy is expected to significantly enhance Maharashtra’s capability ecosystem across Mumbai, Pune, Navi Mumbai and also extends benefits to Tier-2 cities such as Nagpur, Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, etc.
