From July 14 to 16, 2026, the 2026 RSM Asia Pacific Regional Conference was held in Tokyo, bringing together leaders and professionals from RSM member firms across Asia Pacific and beyond. RSM in Japan served as host firm for this year's conference, marking a significant milestone as one of the region's premier international gatherings was held in Tokyo for the first time.

Day One: Setting the Stage

The conference opened with a meeting of the Regional Leadership Team and a panel session hosted by the China Practice Group. That evening, delegates gathered for a welcome reception hosted by RSM International at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo, where colleagues from across the region connected and reconnected ahead of three days of collaboration and discussion.

Day Two: Strategic Insight and Collaboration

The second day began with a welcome from RSM in Japan as host firm, followed by an address from RSM International CEO E.J. Nedder. Two flagship sessions, "Aligning Our Ambition: From Market Leader to Market Winner" and "Closing the Gap: From Market Leader to Market Winner," brought together regional leaders to discuss the strategies and initiatives needed for RSM to grow from a market leader into a firm of choice for clients across the region.

The day also featured a session on quality and risk management in Asia Pacific, alongside breakout sessions on organic and inorganic growth through M&A, the use of AI and technology to drive audit efficiency, regional growth in internal audit and risk advisory services, and industry-specific strategies and opportunities across the Trans-Pacific region. These sessions provided a platform for member firms to share best practices and spark active discussion on the future of the network.

That evening, RSM in Japan hosted a firm dinner for all delegates. Set against the backdrop of Tokyo, the evening gave colleagues the opportunity to build connections across countries, regions and service lines, laying the groundwork for future cross-border engagements and collaborative projects.

Day Three: Looking Ahead

The final day opened with a session on the global economy and the state of global business, followed by "RSM in Japan: Growth and Strategy," in which RSM in Japan's leadership shared the firm's growth story and future strategy with colleagues from across Asia Pacific. The day also included a session on the role of AI in professional services, along with strategic discussions across the audit, tax and advisory service lines.
