After graduating from university, Sotaro served as a National Tax Inspector at the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau, where he conducted audits covering corporate tax, consumption tax, and withholding income tax. He subsequently joined a major foreign-affiliated tax firm, providing tax return preparation services for multinational clients. In 2019, he joined RSM Japan Tax Co. In October 2025, following the merger of RSM Japan Tax Co. and RSM Shiodome Partners Tax Co., he was appointed Assistant Manager at RSM Shiodome Partners Tax Corporation.
