egida_ingenieros_-_resized.pngOn May 21st, RSM Community Outreach, an internal committee at RSM Puerto Rico dedicated to civil and community service, visited the Égida del Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico, a nonprofit organization that provides housing to low income elderly persons in Guaynabo.  Numerous RSM employees arrived with live music provided by Los Cantores del Rey, food, typical Puerto Rican candy, refreshments, and lots of joyful noise.  They were happily greeted by the residents and their caretakers and were soon engaged in singing, making new friends, playing dominoes, and lots of “BINGO!!!”

It was a warm, wonderful afternoon full of laughter and sharing, where strangers became friends across generations and jointly created lasting memories.  At RSM, we are very proud of our employees for their community spirit and for taking the time to bring joy and happiness to the elderly.  For one afternoon, those in their golden years were placed where they deserve to be:  at the center of our attention.  We were all part of the same, big, happy RSM family.

They may forget what you said, but they will not forget how you made them feel”   Carl W. Buachner

Such is The Power of Being Understood
