The Audit Division is the primary service division of RSM Puerto Rico.  Its partners and managers combine decades of audit and related service experience in many industries.  The division primarily provides audit services that involve auditing client financial statements and rendering a professional opinion as independent Certified Public Accountants as to the fairness of the presentation of the financial statements.

RSM Puerto Rico is registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).  The PCAOB is a private-sector, non-profit corporation created by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, to oversee the auditors of public companies in order to protect the interest of investors and public interest in the preparation of informative, fair and independent audit reports.

RSM Puerto Rico is a member of the Private Company Practice Section Firm Practice Center (PCPS).  Firm members are provided with valuable information and resources in the area of practice management and are subject to various membership requirements, including the documentation of our quality control policies and procedures and an independent review of its accounting practice every three years.

RSM Puerto Rico is a member of the AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center (GAQC).  This Quality Center includes not only those firms that are engaged in audits of governmental clients, but also not-for-profit entities, including those who receive federal financial assistance that are subject to the requirements of OMB Circular A-133.  Firm members are committed to achieve the highest standards in performing quality governmental audits.  This firm-based voluntary membership requires practice management, additional training, quality control and self monitoring.  In addition, center members also agree to make publicly available the results of their external peer reviews of their audit practice.

RSM Puerto Rico is a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Audit Quality Center (EBPAQC).  Firm members are committed to providing quality audit services to their clients in Employee Benefit Plans by voluntarily adhering to center membership requirements, including additional training, quality control and self monitoring.  Center members also agree to make publicly available the results of their external peer reviews of their audit practice.
