It has been a year since the UK-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA) officially took effect on 1st May 2021. Under the leverage of UKVFTA, despite the serious impacts of the COVID-19 causing a decrease in market demand, in 2021, the two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the UK still reached 6.6 billion USD, increased growth of 17.2% compared to 2020. This growth helped the bilateral turnover to officially recover to 2019 levels, after suffering a serious decline in 2020 due to the impact of the pandemic.
