We inform you that there will be some modifications to the Intrastat returns due to the European reform. The Intrastat dispatches return will include two additional fields:
- the country of origin of the goods;
- the counterparty’s VAT identification number.
These changes will be implemented as from the January 2019 Intrastat return – to be submitted before 20 February 2019.
There will be no changes concerning the arrival returns.
You can prepare for the update as follows:
a) if you do not submit your Intrastat returns via the OneGate application yourself, we recommend you to inform your IT services, your accountant or your software supplier;
b) adaptyour XML or CSV-files for the Intrastat return dispatches in due time. Should you need more information in this regard, we propose you to consult the information provided by the National Bank of Belgium: (https://www.nbb.be/doc/dq/e_pdf_ex/intrastat%202019_onepager_en.pdf);
c) you can also check whether you are already compliant for 2019 by sending your test files to SxCollect@nbb.be or by requesting access to the test environment by sending an email to Access.OneGate@nbb.be , mentioning as subject ''Intrastat 2019 test environment'', followed by your VAT identification number.
