Senior Manager- Supply Chain Management (Operations Consulting)

Indicative Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Taking full responsibility for executing and delivering business and operations consulting projects / audits including tasks like data interpretation, analysis, insight generation and report preparation, client management and alignment
  • Able to independently lead operations audit/consulting engagements in at least two areas amongst Procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, quality
  • Able to demonstrate with clear analysis, improvement areas, the potential quantified wrt to improvement areas and possible root causes with appropriate supporting analysis
  • Able to guide and consult the client in adopting / developing operations strategy to reduce their operational costs and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Able to lead the team of internal consultants of various tenure and client stakeholders to get the project and agreed deliverables on time with high quality and demonstratively high financial impact from improvements
  • Independently managing mid-sized projects or taking ownership of one or more modules of major /significant consulting projects
  • Leading, coordinating and organizing the work of a team of Consultants
  • Able to lead and train the team members for their continuous personal/professional development to get better productivity and quality in the projects
  • Able to clearly show the financial benefits resulting out of the operations improvement
  • Supporting the leadership team on marketing, business development and proposals
  • Positively contributing to the firm's growth and reputation
  • Able to prepare / adopt presentations of high quality to clearly bring the important points, able to debate/challenge and convince the client/stakeholders on the right path through logical and fact-based analysis and argumentation

  • Data analytics of large-scale data with Excel - (Access / DB optional). Able to analyze and grasp the large-scale data from various sources, synthesize it and draw insights/conclusions as to current performance issues/gaps

  • Experience in addressing the operational improvement engagement with demonstratable financial benefits
  • Able to manage/interact with confidence with the senior management of the client company
  • Able to manage, challenge and build relations of equal with important stakeholders

Preferred Qualification:

Engineer (Any Discipline – Mechanical/Chemical preferred) + MBA (General or in Operations Management / Supply chain management)

Preferred Certification

M Tech / M E (Industrial Engineering), Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
