Business Acquisitions and Sales are gaining momentum in India and expected to be in the range of US$50 billion annually. The key drivers for the sale of businesses are divestment of non-core businesses for strategic reasons, unsustainable debt levels, attractive value proposition, succession issues in family managed businesses and the economic aftermath of pandemic. The sale of business and optimum value realisation require careful consideration of all the business aspects as well as tax and regulatory aspects.
This Webinar would be hosted with Mr. Farid Kazani, Managing Director - Majesco Ltd as the Keynote speaker. He has been the architect of the demerger of the insurance business from Mastek and creating the insurance products business under Majesco US. He was actively involved in carrying out the process of completing back to back acquisitions and paving the way to list Majesco US, on the NYSE-MKT and Majesco Limited on the Indian stock exchanges. Majesco listed recently divested its business to Thoma Bravo in a transaction valuing the company at $729 million.
