On October 7, 2026, approximately 20 accounting students from the University of Lampung in Indonesia visited us as part of their university curriculum. RSM Shiodome Partners, together with RSM Seiwa and Tokyo Kyodo Accounting Office, welcomed the students and introduced them to Japanese business practices, the current state of the Japanese economy, and professional accounting services.
RSM’s Global Network and the Professional Services of the Three Firms
Following the opening remarks by Tokyo Kyodo Accounting Office, Kengo Maekawa, CEO of RSM Shiodome Partners, and a representative of RSM Seiwa delivered welcome remarks.
The students were then introduced to RSM’s global network and the professional services provided by the three firms, including accounting, audit, tax, and consulting services.

Japanese Business Practices and the Current Economic Landscape
RSM Shiodome Partners gave a presentation on Japanese business practices, while RSM Seiwa provided an overview of the current state of the Japanese economy.
During the Q&A session, the students asked questions about the outlook for industries expected to grow or contract in the coming years, the global minimum tax, and other developments affecting the Japanese economy and international taxation. Representatives from the three firms shared their insights in response.

Building Connections Through Group Work
The program concluded with a team-based group activity on the theme of “Business in Indonesia and Japan,” followed by an office tour and a commemorative group photo.

RSM Shiodome Partners will continue working with related organizations to create opportunities for student learning and international exchange.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the students from the University of Lampung for visiting us, as well as to everyone who contributed to making the event possible.
