What did you do before joining RSM?
I completed a degree in Business Economics at HEIG-VD, which included a semester abroad in Madrid.
Once I graduated, I chose to pursue an internship as a Marketing and Communications Intern at RSM Switzerland because of the opportunity to work within a dynamic, globally recognized firm.
I wanted to quickly take on meaningful responsibilities and contribute to a newly established department.
What inspired you to pursue a career in marketing and communications at RSM?
I’ve always been drawn to the diversity of marketing and communications, as it offers something new and exciting every day. I thrive in environments where I can work on a variety of tasks.
“RSM stood out to me the most due to its values, the team spirit, and the exciting opportunities they offered.”
How has your experience as a Marketing & Communications Associate been so far?
My experience has been rewarding, especially as I've taken on more responsibility over time. Initially, as a trainee, I worked under supervision, but now I manage my own tasks and work independently.
This autonomy is something I really appreciate. I also enjoy collaborating with the team, especially now that we’re working more closely together.
It’s rewarding to contribute to team efforts, share responsibilities, and guide others when needed.
Can you walk us through a typical day for you at RSM?
My typical day as a Marketing & Communication Associate is quite dynamic and varied. My job gives me the opportunity to handle a wide range of tasks, ensuring that each day is different from the last.
Another aspect I particularly enjoy is having a certain level of autonomy, as I am responsible for managing my tasks independently while following a well-structured communication plan and key deadlines.
This variety keeps my role exciting and fulfilling.
How would you describe the atmosphere and teamwork within your department?
The atmosphere within our department is really enjoyable. We’re a young team, and everyone gets along well. Our manager is supportive and genuinely interested in helping us grow, sharing knowledge, and encouraging our development.
There’s also a great sense of curiosity among team members about each other’s work, which makes for a collaborative environment.
What’s been your favorite experience at RSM so far?
My favorite experience at RSM so far has been organizing our activities for RSM World Day in 2023 and 2024 in Bern, as well as our Summer Event in 2024. It was incredibly rewarding to manage a project from start to finish and see it come to life. Being at the event, witnessing everyone enjoying themselves, and receiving positive feedback from colleagues made it all worthwhile.
Another highlight has been growing our LinkedIn presence significantly. Contributing to this achievement has been particularly rewarding, as it involved designing and implementing an effective digital strategy. We focused on creating engaging and relevant content that reflects our values and activities.
What advice would you give to someone just starting in marketing and communications?
For someone starting out, my advice would be to develop a broad skill set. If you’ve already gained some work experience, even in a different field, that can be valuable, as it adds versatility. Digital skills are also increasingly important- knowing your way around tech tools, and even basic coding, can be a big advantage. Overall, it’s key to staying open-minded, motivated, and willing to learn.
Who are you outside of RSM?
I’m a dedicated sports enthusiast. I stay active every day with activities like running, fitness training, and especially tennis, which is my absolute favorite. I also enjoy skiing and padel tennis. For me, sports are essential; they help me disconnect, clear my mind, and push my limits.
