#IAmRemarkable: Building confidence and inclusion at RSM

At RSM Switzerland we are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion. We want to create spaces where every individual feels empowered to celebrate their unique contributions. One such transformative space is the #IAmRemarkable workshop, an initiative started at Google and now is a global movement, designed to empower individuals to openly discuss their achievements in the workplace and beyond.

What is #IAmRemarkable?

#IAmRemarkable is a 90-minute workshop that helps participants challenge the social perception that self-promotion is negative or boastful. Through guided reflection, practical exercises, and open discussions, participants learn to acknowledge their achievements, overcome limiting beliefs, and advocate for themselves with confidence. The workshop is designed to improve individual self-confidence, drive career development, and foster more inclusive teams.

Since its launch, over 600,000 people across 180+ countries have taken part in #IAmRemarkable, supported by a growing network of 4,000+ trained facilitators.

Why It Matters

In many cultures and workplaces, talking about personal achievements is often seen as uncomfortable or inappropriate. However, recognising and sharing accomplishments is critical to career growth, visibility, and building a culture of trust and appreciation. #IAmRemarkable helps break down these barriers in a supportive, safe environment—one that boosts self-confidence and transforms teams.

Independent research shows that:

• 82% of participants feel more confident after the workshop
• 89% self-promote more often
• 49% have experienced career growth

#IAmRemarkable at RSM Switzerland

Our journey with #IAmRemarkable began when one of our leaders, Natalja Shabashova, experienced the workshop first-hand and later became a certified facilitator. Since then, she has delivered sessions both internally—open to all RSM Switzerland employees—and externally at organisations such as:

• HEC Lausanne, where Master’s students gained confidence as they prepared for their careers
• SC Johnson, supporting participants of their internal leadership programme through both virtual and in-person sessions

#IAmRemarkable is more than a workshop—it’s a mindset shift. It helps us all become more aware of our value and inspires a culture where achievements are acknowledged and celebrated.
