Kaniz has over 10 years of experience in audit and assurance services, having started her career in the accountancy profession in 2010. She has handled clients across various sectors including health, education, not-for-profit organisations, manufacturing, logistics, and trading, and has also undergone training in USAID audits of non–US organisations.

She is experienced in providing internal audit services to various entities and is a qualified Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Her specialisations include audit and assurance, internal audit, investigation and forensic accounting services, financial due diligence, reviews of public sector and donor-funded programmes, value for money audits, and agreed-upon procedure engagements.

She is currently a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors of Tanzania (NBAA).

Kaniz holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from the University of the West of England and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance from the University of Strathclyde. She is also responsible for regional training and development.

Kaniz enjoys travelling, reading, and art.
