Banu Sarban graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Architecture, City and Regional Planning Department as an Urban Planner in 1990. She worked at various levels in the public sector. She was the Plan and Project Manager of Eyüp Municipality and a member of the Monuments Board during the same period. She left the public sector in 2014, as of then she served as the Director of Reconstruction and Investment until 2021 in a group of companies, two of which are publicly traded, whose field of activity is tourism, construction and real estate development, under the titles of development of all real estates, zoning and planning processes and management of legal processes of real estates, ensuring the continuation of the existing business in the company's public institutions and managing the process, etc.
