48% of businesses to increase robotic process automation

About 48 per cent of businesses around the world will increase Robotic Process Automation (RPA) adoption due to Covid-19, show results of a survey. Companies are increasingly using RPA and other intelligent automation technologies to address new business and market pressures stemming from the pandemic. The results showed that companies are using RPA to increase agility, diversity, and resilience in their supply chain operations, address extraordinary cost pressures by automating back-office and operational tasks and support remote workforces. To enhance retention and produce productivity, it's employers' responsibilities to offer digital training -- specifically automation training -- as part of career development initiatives.

New NetSuite app helps customers safely and efficiently reopen

Oracle NetSuite today released a new solution to help organizations protect their workforce and communities as the economy begins to reopen. The new Workforce Case Interaction SuiteApp helps NetSuite customers create, track and record the in-person interactions of people suspected of having COVID-19 infections. The new app also helps NetSuite customers protect employees and customers at physical locations by providing a centralized place to efficiently and securely create and track cases of infected people in the workforce. The application can then generate a list of potential interactions an infected employee had with other individuals based on the employee’s location, time entry location, reporting structure, project team members and NetSuite calendar events. With these results and the ability to log additional interactions, HR professionals and other authorized users, can quickly respond and help create safer work environments.

Microsoft renames and unifies more products under Microsoft Defender brand

After rebranding Windows Defender as Microsoft Defender in early 2019, Microsoft is renaming and bringing more products under the Defender brand, the company announced at its yearly Ignite developer conference. Starting from September 22, the Microsoft Defender product line will be expanded and split across two branches as Microsoft 365 Defender for end-user environments and Azure Defender for cloud and hybrid infrastructure, respectively. Microsoft's long-term plan is to unify all its cyber-security offerings under a simpler naming scheme that makes it easier to get a grasp on the company's full security capabilities.

Cyber attacks on schools increasing amid remote learning shift
