Cybersecurity Announcements

Researchers warn of AiTM attack targeting Google G-Suite enterprise users

The threat actors behind the large-scale Microsoft adversary-in-the-middle (AiTM) phishing campaign are targeting Google G Suite users. Attackers use the stolen credentials and session cookies from AiTM phishing sites to access affected users’ mailboxes and perform follow-on business email compromise (BEC) campaigns against other targets. As the URL is the only visible difference between an AiTM phishing site and the actual one, multi-factor authentication alone is not sufficient to defend against advanced phishing attacks. Users should verify URLs before entering credentials and refrain from opening attachments or clicking on links in emails sent from untrusted sources.

Coalition of cybersecurity leaders launch Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF)

Coordination across cybersecurity tools is crucial to detect and stop cyberattacks, but normalizing data from disparate sources requires significant time and resources.
