Since the inaugural RSM World Day in 2012, we have come together as a network each year to celebrate our shared vision and values as a network. This annual global day of celebration has given us the chance to focus on a variety of things: we celebrated our global brand launch, we’ve marked our 50th Anniversary, we focused on bringing our brand to life through promoting the meaning of the Power of Being Understood, and we’ve challenged our creativity and imagination to uncover ways that innovation can help us to move our great network forward. 

This year we want to focus on our people, our inclusiveness, and our uniqueness. There is no doubt that it is our people that make RSM what it is - each person in RSM has something to contribute to our global network. We want to spend this RSM World Day focusing on our people, letting them know they are valued and that they are part of a global community – Putting our People First.

Now is the time to grow our global community, engage our employees and enhance our already strong culture. Our unified brand has now been in use since October 2015. Our initial focus was on embedding the visual elements within our firms and ensuring the correct and consistent use of our logo, colours, portraiture etc. Following this, our focus was on defining the meaning of the Power of Being Understood and how our distinguishing beliefs drive the way in which we work with our clients. Finally, during the last year, we have concentrated on promoting the RSM Values, Vision and Purpose. The next step on our RSM journey is to bring the brand to life in our firms by focusing our employees and our global culture.

As you know, our focus on People has been added as the No.1 element of the seven-core elements in our five-year global strategy. So, let’s make RSM World Day 2018 a day for our people by celebrating the different people, cultures and traditions we have in our network and the inclusiveness and uniqueness that makes RSM special.

As with previous years, RSM firms are invited to focus their RSM World Day activities on two key areas: internal activities to drive engagement with staff and to reinforce and educate them about our international network. And externally, to use the day to increase our brand awareness and reputation among all our external audiences.

 

 

 

What do we want to achieve?

 

  • Educate our people about the diverse network to which they belong, while celebrating our unity and shared visions and values. 
  • Reach less senior members of staff who may not be internationally-minded or active.
  • Recognise and understand that our firms each have different capabilities and resources and that we work in different environments and operate in ways that facilitate national needs.
  • Bring employees on a journey of defining and embedding our global culture that is focused on delivering our brand promise and achieving our shared goals.
  • Engage employees with the RSM brand by creating a feeling of employee inclusion, value and purposefulness.
  • Reach out to clients and local communities to promote our international network, our global reach, capabilities, and uniqueness. 

 

RSM World Day champions have been selected in each firm and are working on activities.
