The Director of the Revenue Agency, Ernesto Maria Ruffini, has issued a directive that puts a stop to tax assessment activities and checks. The text provides for the suspension of liquidation, control, assessment, access, inspections and verifications, collection and tax litigation by the Revenue Agency offices unless they are about to expire (or suspended on the basis of express regulatory provisions ). This measure was adopted following the Prime Ministerial Decree of 11 March 2020 to combat the spread of Coronavirus. Our tax litigation team is evaluating the impact of this forecast on ongoing activities.
