About Serhii Godovanyi

Serhii Godovanyi is an Audit Director and Certified Auditor of Ukraine with more than 18 years of professional experience in finance, banking, and auditing, including over 8 years of experience in external audit.

He is responsible for managing audit engagements, developing client relationships, and implementing best professional practices in accordance with the requirements of the International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Serhii has extensive experience in leading audit teams, liaising with regulatory authorities, and advising clients on financial reporting, corporate governance, internal control, and risk management matters.

Experience

Serhii has more than 18 years of professional experience in the financial sector and auditing. He began his professional career in the banking industry, working for leading Ukrainian banks, including JSC Kredobank and JSC PUMB, where he gained extensive experience in financial analysis, lending, and risk management.

In 2017, he joined Grant Thornton Legis LLC as an Auditor and progressed from Auditor to Senior Auditor within the Audit Department. During this period, he participated in audit engagements for companies operating across various industries, financial institutions, and international groups, as well as in financial statement transformation projects in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

In 2020, he was appointed Audit Director at Inter-Audit Crowe LLC, where he was responsible for managing audit engagements, organizing and supervising audit teams, overseeing audit quality, and liaising with regulatory authorities and clients.

Throughout his professional career, Serhii has led financial statement audits for entities operating in a wide range of industries, including financial institutions, manufacturing, trading, and service companies.

He has served as an Engagement Partner for financial statement audits, providing strategic leadership of audit engagements, including planning, coordination, and supervision of audit execution. He was responsible for communication with management and those charged with governance, forming the audit opinion, and ensuring compliance of audit procedures with the International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

Serhii has extensive experience in auditing financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS and advising clients on the application of International Financial Reporting Standards, evaluation of internal control systems, and risk management practices.

He actively contributes to the implementation of high audit quality standards and the development of professional approaches to audit engagements in accordance with international requirements and best practices.
