• RSM, the 6th largest global network in audit and consulting, conducted the buy-side financial and tax due diligence for Gamma Technologies, a global leader in multi-physics system simulation software, during the acquisition of Power Design Technologies SAS, a pioneering provider of engineering software for power electronics based in Toulouse.
  • The Corporate Finance division further strengthens its advisory positioning for international groups during their acquisitions in France.

Acquisition of Power Design Technologies by Gamma Technologies

Through this acquisition, Gamma Technologies extends its leadership to complete vehicle system simulations for electrified mobility applications.

Power Design Technologies is the manufacturer of PowerForge, an innovative SaaS offering for the design of power converters for various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and power generation. It enables engineers to predictively select and compare different power converter topologies, material technologies (e.g., SiC, GaN), and modulation strategies to provide the optimal solution in terms of power loss, electrical waveforms, size, weight, and cost.

PowerForge complements and extends the product and technology portfolio of Gamma Technologies and facilitates the industry’s transition towards an electrified future. Gamma Technologies will enhance the capabilities of GT-SUITE, a leading multi-physics CAE simulation software developed by the company.

GT-SUITE includes a comprehensive library of physics-based modeling models covering fluid flow, thermal systems, mechanics, electricity, magnetism, chemistry, and controls. The capabilities of GT-SUITE will now enable predictive simulation of batteries, motors, and power electronics within its unified multi-physics and multi-scale environment.
