Ambition to double its operations by 2030

“Our ambition for 2030 is to double our operations. To get there, we need solid foundations — and that is exactly what we have today with our Data Platform.”
Antonin Marcault - Deputy CEO, Sorégies
A Long-Standing Renewable Energy Player: The Data Challenges of a Fast-Growing Group in Full Transformation
Sorégies, France's fourth-largest energy company and a century-old player in the sector, is accelerating its shift toward a decarbonized model. To support a €1.5 billion investment plan and double its operations by 2030, the group is fundamentally transforming its information system. Commercial, energy and financial data now flow across business functions that were historically siloed. RSM first launched a proof of concept before rolling out a centralized Data Platform and supporting the creation of a dedicated data team — enabling near real-time data monitoring, more reliable management reporting, and faster, more dependable decision-making.

The Challenge: Turning Fragmented Data Into a Performance Driver
Growing fast, Sorégies needed to turn fragmented data into a genuine cross-functional steering tool — reliable and accessible to every team.
Three Principles for a Lasting Transformation
One cross-functional data team
RSM consultants and Sorégies' in-house teams work as a single collective — one team serving the business functions to deliver reliable analysis faster.
Business × data co-creation
Business teams work hand in hand with the data teams, from needs analysis through to putting reports into production. RSM consultants support the business experts throughout the project.
An embedded data culture
Every employee — from data entry to analysis — is made aware of how their actions affect data quality. Data becomes a collective reflex, not a topic reserved for experts.
Sorégies & RSM: The Story of a Collective
“RSM's support allowed us to protect a group, a collective, and to work in very close connection with our business.”
Seymi Hafsia - IS Engineering Manager, Sorégies
“When we arrived at Sorégies, there was no data profile in-house. Today there are four, and the wider team numbers ten people”
Arthur Chauvel - Data & AI Manager, RSM France
“Getting more value from data, and sharing it better across the organization — from commercial data through to energy sourcing, and ultimately management control and finance.”
Dimitri Letellier - Data & AI Partner, RSM France
“Our business teams worked with the Data Platform teams and the RSM teams dedicated to the project. We adopted a co-creation approach so that RSM could understand the business challenges, how we operated, and where the data came from.”
Olivia Bertin- Director, Corporate & Public Sector Market, Sorégies
