On December 18, 2017 was published in the Official Gazette of the Federal Executive, Resolution CGES nº 12/2017 to approve the layout of version 2.4.01 of eSocial.
 

The layout is already available at: https://portal.esocial.gov.br/institucional/documentacao-tecnica and, among the innovations brought in, the following stand out:

a) type changes and validation of event S-1000 (Employer / Taxpayer / Public Organ Information);

b) the exclusion of fields from event S-1010 (Table of Rubrics);

c) the new description of event S-1210 (Work Income Payments);

d) the inclusion of event S-2260 (Convocation for Intermittent Work).

In addition, CGES Resolution 11/2017 was revoked, which approved the layout of version 2.4.

The compulsory use of eSocial is expected to begin in January 2018, progressively, for taxpayers with revenue of more than R$ 78,000,000.00 in 2016, in July 2018 for other taxpayers, except public entities, which will begin its progressive implementation in January 2019.
