RSM, the 6th largest global audit and consulting network, conducted the buy-side financial and tax due diligences for RSK Group, a global leader in environmental, engineering and technical services, in connection with its acquisition of ADEV Environnement, a multidisciplinary consultancy and engineering firm.
Through this transaction, RSM further strengthens its positioning as a trusted advisor in strategic acquisitions within the environmental engineering and energy-biodiversity-climate data sectors.
Acquisition of ADEV Environnement by RSK Group
Based in Cheshire, UK, RSK Group has acquired ADEV Environnement, which provides its expertise to a wide range of clients (EDF, ENGIE, TotalEnergies) across environmental, biodiversity, sustainable urban planning, and energy-related topics. The firm operates from two offices in the Tours area—Le Blanc (36) and Larçay (37)—and employs 20 people.
ADEV Environnement will work alongside the existing RSK France entity and will retain all employees as well as its brand name. The company will operate under the leadership of Emmanuel Costa, Managing Director of RSK France. Sébastien Illovic, former owner of ADEV, will support the transition as a consultant.
ADEV marks RSK’s 33rd acquisition over the past year, further affirming the Group’s commitment to strengthening and diversifying its portfolio. The Group plans to continue its expansion in France through this acquisition.
Alan Ryder, founder and CEO of RSK, stated: “In response to the ongoing global demand for sustainable solutions, RSK is committed to becoming the world’s leading provider of such services, helping our clients make the progress urgently needed if we are to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. ADEV is a valuable addition to our group, offering services that directly support these objectives.”
Emmanuel Costa, Managing Director of RSK France, emphasized: “France, one of the leading nations in the ecological transition, aims to become the first European country to decarbonize by 2050. This ambitious goal reflects a collective awareness that human activity must become more sustainable. The challenge is immense and can, in part, be met by an ecosystem of companies built on the commitment of eco-responsible individuals who work daily to protect the environment.”
“This is the driving force behind our development in France, where RSK aims—together with its partners, its international centers of innovation and operational excellence, and new investments—to provide clients with an integrated offering at every stage of their projects.”
