By committing to the “AI, Risk and Management” Chair at Université Paris-Dauphine-PSL for a three-year period, RSM France, a member of the world’s sixth-largest global network in audit, accounting and consulting, is placing artificial intelligence at the heart of its long-term strategy.
The firm has chosen to invest directly in academic research to anticipate the disruptions brought about by artificial intelligence and to support the emergence of new professions.
Beyond technological adoption, this sponsorship reflects a strong conviction: to anticipate the profound transformation of audit, accounting and consulting professions, and to actively contribute to the research shaping their new professional frameworks.
RSM is embracing a pioneering approach by integrating artificial intelligence into a forward-looking, practical and collaborative reflection.
"We are proud to sign this sponsorship agreement with one of France’s leading universities. The excellence of the research program, combined with tangible practical applications, commits us to a pragmatic collaboration that opens up new perspectives for our professions and for the development of new skills,” said Stéphane Marie, President of RSM France.
The “AI, Risk and Management” Chair: A Driver of Innovation in AI Governance
The “AI, Risk and Management” Chair aims to advance high-level research on the uses and risks associated with artificial intelligence in critical environments. This work builds on a recent research momentum that has already produced notable results, as illustrated in particular by the recent distinction awarded to one of the Chair’s doctoral candidates for the excellence of their work on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
Under the scientific direction of François Acquatella, Associate Professor, the Chair will strengthen its research teams around a dedicated program focusing on the use of AI and the associated risks in the field of financial audit.
An Operational Partnership Between Academic Expertise and Professional Practice
This sponsorship reflects the shared commitment of RSM and Université Paris-Dauphine-PSL to create tangible operational synergies. The firm will provide resources and expertise to support academic research, enabling the Chair to develop projects addressing high-stakes strategic challenges for the sector.
“The Chair seeks to break down the barriers between the corporate and academic worlds by fostering a productive dialogue between organizations and research, based on a model that creates shared value through projects grounded in real-world experimentation. This model has proven its worth, yet remains insufficiently leveraged,” explains François Acquatella, Scientific Director of the “AI, Risk and Management” Chair and Associate Professor at Paris-Dauphine University–PSL.
“This sponsorship, which we primarily view as a partnership, allows us to actively contribute to innovation while supporting the development of talent and excellence in French research,” adds Virginie Cuvilliez, Audit Partner at RSM France and member of the Chair’s steering committee.
This partnership fully embodies RSM’s values in France, while reaffirming its societal responsibility and its strategic role in digital transformation and the evolution of professional practices.
As part of its mission to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI) and the associated managerial risks, Université Paris-Dauphine-PSL, in partnership with the Fondation Dauphine, has established the “AI, Risk and Management” Chair within the Dauphine Recherche en Management (DRM) laboratory.
The Chair aims to develop high-level research on the uses and risks associated with artificial intelligence in critical digital environments, particularly cloud platforms and audit and control systems. It adopts a collaborative and empirical approach, combining technical analyses, case studies and experimental work conducted within the DRM laboratory.
The Chair is led by François Acquatella, Associate Professor and researcher at Dauphine Recherche en Management (DRM).
