American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia (AmCham) is the largest international business chamber in Georgia with more than 150 company members. Founded in 1998, AmCham's primary objective is to promote US - Georgia ties and the improvement of the business environment in Georgia. We do this by working with the government to help shape improvements in the business regulations, facilitating connections between Georgian and international investors and by supporting business and government links.

This is done in a range of ways. Through regular meetings Amcham keeps members in contact with senior officials in the government of Georgia, the US Embassy and each other. The chamber’s magazine, Investor.ge, is the premier business magazine in the country and provides insights into changes in the economy and updates on the deals being done and the personalities behind them. Finally, AmCham’s committee-work provides a vehicle for collecting opinions, conducting research and lobbying the government on particular issues of importance to the members and the business community more widely.

SARAH WILLIAMSON, President of AmCham: “having become President of AMCHAM in June of this year I am excited to be leading the board of AmCham at such an interesting time. The next two years are essential, both in the country’s development as a democracy and in cementing the worldwide image of Georgia as a favorable place to invest. We should do all we can to encourage investment in Georgia, both foreign and domestic, including working to promote the interests of our long-established businesses. It is my goal to lead the board in a manner that ensures the improvement of our ability to advocate for our members’ needs, thereby strengthening our membership and chamber”.
