ABOUT BEN

Ben joined RSM South Africa in 2022 from another medium sized firm where he served as Audit Partner for 14 years. His experience includes the audit of listed groups as well as subsidiaries of international groups. He was also involved in leading and establishing the engagement quality review team.

Ben is on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange Limited (JSE) Register of Auditors. He provides services to clients in various industries including aviation, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, property investment, hotel and leisure, media and telecommunications, and selected financial services.

He also acted in other roles during his career including the leader of engagement quality reviews, leader of people and culture, staff partner, training officer and B-BBEE verification consultant.

Ben is driven by the development of people and is actively engaged with the training of young professionals within the firm. He is currently registered for his D Phil which focuses on the impact of stress, work engagement and an auditor’s sense of “control” on audit quality and the behaviours that threaten audit quality.
