ABOUT MARK

Mark Jurgens is an accomplished senior executive with a remarkable trajectory in operations management, strategic planning, acquisitions and integrations, and investor relations. Mark's rich background sets him apart as an industry leader, particularly in the realm of contract management.

Mark’s career journey is a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit. He founded Paracon Holdings in 1995, an ICT staffing and solutions business, which he successfully listed on the JSE four years later. In the early 2000s, he was instrumental in facilitating Dimension Data's strategic investment into Paracon, marking the beginning of a long series of significant acquisitions and integrations on a global scale.

Over the years, Mark has shown a unique aptitude for recognizing and cultivating successful start-ups. Notably, he secured a 35% stake in Indian-based Nihilent Technologies in 2006 and handled the acquisition and sale of two tech companies in the USA. This entrepreneurial drive culminated in the de-listing of Paracon from the JSE in 2011, in a sale to Adcorp Holdings.

In the following years, Mark's expertise in contract management became more pronounced. He spearheaded the acquisition of Australian-based Paxus from CSC in 2012 and led the acquisition and de-listing of the Kelly Group SA from the JSE, which led to the establishment of TalentCRU. Under Mark's leadership, TalentCRU grew to become the largest MSP/RPO business in South Africa.

In 2023, Mark played a pivotal role in Carambrooke's investment into The Talent Experts. His vision was to expand the company's offerings into ICT and contracting services on a global scale, culminating in the establishment of RSM SA Talent Experts.
