The Government of Jersey has opened its consultation on secondary legislation under the Financial Services (Disclosure and Provision of Information) (Jersey) Law.

The consultation is open until 4 September 2020 and can be found on the Government of Jersey consultations pages.

The consulation will consider the scope of information to be provided to the Commission about beneficial owners of entities, information to be provided to the Commission about significant persons of entities, additional information to be provided to the Commission by companies, and potential compliance exemptions for the Viscount when administering an entity in bankruptcy.

The outcome of the consultation and the resulting regulations will impact all Jersey companies, with the requirements having an anticipated commencement date in December 2020.
