RSM in Sweden has divested the operations within accounting and HR/payroll to VIEW Ledger AB

To RSM in Sweden, the sale means avoiding the challenge of the limitations that, according to today's regulations, may arise for an accounting activity within the framework of an audit firm. RSM in Sweden will continue its journey of success and will be focusing on the core areas in Sweden: audit, tax, transaction support and advisory services. 

The sale of the departments means that VIEW Ledger takes over the business which mainly employs accounting and payroll consultants. 

As of today, VIEW Ledger is one of the largest independent accounting firms in Sweden and has had a significant growth over the recent years. The acquisition is an important part of their strategic growth plan and the acquisition will enable VIEW Ledger to be established in two new locations; Gothenburg and Norrtalje. 

AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERYONE TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL 

- VIEW Ledger feels like an obvious buyer of RSM in Swedens activities in accounting and HR/payroll. We feel confident that the employees will get the opportunity to develop further and reach their full potential within their new organization, says Johan Magnusson at RSM. 

- The industry has been moving in this direction for some time, since the regulations in auditing have been shown to limit accounting activities carried out within an auditing firm. The ongoing digitization we see in accounting is also a contributing factor to our decision. It is simply no longer easy to run accounting within an audit firm anymore therefore a larger player, with a more targeted focus on accounting and HR/Payroll, is needed to develop this business in a competitive way, says Henric Larsolle at RSM.

47 NEW EMPLOYEES IN STOCKHOLM, GOTHENBURG AND NORRTALJE 

With the acquisition and the additional consultants that will be joining VIEW Ledger, they will have approximately 250 employees in Sweden. Most are specialized in accounting, payroll and financial advice as well as system integration and advisory in digitalisation. This is the third acquisition of 2022 and VIEW Ledger will now be able to offer their services in both Gothenburg and Norrtalje, two places in where they previously did not have local representation.
