Baasab is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with 20 years of experience in Assurance, Hospitality & Leisure- Audit and Advisory, Risk Management and Financial Services- Insurance and extensive experience in respect of audit of several regulated companies registered with Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Baasab joined RSM Dahman in November 2013 as a Partner and handles Audit, Assurance, Internal Audit, Risk management. His areas of expertise include the Hospitality & Leisure sector and Insurance.

Baasab has worked with EY Dubai for around 18 years. He has been the EY Middle East Hospitality Leader since 2008. Under this role, he has served as the "Hospitality Champion" with several years of experience in auditing clients in the Hospitality & Leisure sector. In addition, he has secured significant experience in carrying out contractual and revenue audits for 5 star and luxury hotels and review of hotel's management agreements and Uniform System of Accounting for Hotel compliances, risk management services, financial due diligence, business reviews.

Baasab was instrumental in setting up a specialized segment for Hospitality & Leisure audit services for EY Middle East audit practice, contributing significantly in E&Y Hotel sector publications such as Middle East Hotel Bench Mark Survey, Global Hospitality Top Thoughts, and Middle East Hotel Performance Review, and representing E&Y Middle East as the sector leader in several high profile Hospitality conferences- International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF), Berlin and Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC), Dubai.

With EY, Baasab has handled clients including all tier 1 International Hotel Companies - Accor, InterContinental, Starwoods, Hyatt, Hilton, Fairmont Raffles Swiss Hotel, Movenpick and Middle East top Hotel Companies - Address & Armani Hotels, Rotana, Millenium and Jumeriah.

Baasab also has extensive experience in the Financial Services sector, mainly Insurance. Under the insurance sector, his clients included Al Futtaim Orient Insurance PJSC, Dubai Insurance PSC, Friends Provident Fund-UAE, IGI Insurance-DIFC, ACR Re Insurance- DIFC, ACE Insurance, Tokio Marine Insurance-UAE, Aon UAE, Marsh, Willis UAE.

During his professional work tenure, Baasab has displayed high level of leadership skills by leading team of high caliber finance professionals and dealing with several regulatory bodies in the United Arab Emirates.
