Training on Corporate Governance

Botswana Companies Act requires the directors to possess business acumen on the one hand and business ethics on the other hand.  Directors are more than trustees.  Directors are leaders and executive officers.  Directors are expected to go beyond making their companies profitable, in caring for the environment and wider societies.

Financial information alone cannot grow the companies well into future.  Enterprise wide risk management ensures continued existence, undoubted survival and guaranteed growth.   These two are still not enough.  Corporate governance and responsible reporting creates that wider impact, brand loyalty, social acceptance and community enrichment.  Therefore public sector and private sector companies have moved towards adopting recommendations of the King Code III and now IV for corporate governance and the responsibilities for ensuring that this process is embedded in organizations.

RSM Consulting conducts Cooperate Governance Workshops, documents Board Charters, Risk Frameworks and conducts and gives assurance on internal audit function.  These documents are architected around business strategy to ensure easier and more effective implementation of modern practices by the Boards and Managements.

RSM Consulting has benchmarked the Corporate Governance contents to King Codes and UK Governance codes which are leading references in both the public and private sector businesses. RSM’s Corporate Governance programme underpins Board orientation to modern governance and oversight practices.
