From 5 October, companies will be required to comply with new information obligations in their employment relationships. Royal Decree 723/2026 expands the information that must be provided to employees from the outset of their employment and introduces new deadlines for communicating any subsequent changes.

The new rules will require many companies to review their employment contract templates, prepare additional documentation and adapt their internal procedures, while also strengthening the requirements applicable to employees working abroad.

In our latest RSM Alert, our Employment team analyses the key changes, the relevant deadlines and the steps companies should consider taking to ensure they are prepared when the new regime comes in  to force.
