40 graduates to be recruited as part of the RSM Ireland Graduate Programme across audit, tax and consulting

RSM Ireland, the country’s biggest first-generation accounting firm, is adapting a new, flexible approach to recruitment for its award-winning Graduate Programme for the first time.

Traditionally October is the deadline for applications for professional firms’ graduate programmes, but applications will be welcomed throughout the year by RSM Ireland from graduates looking to train in audit, tax, and consulting.

Your career, your way

Commenting on the change, Kate Connellan, HR Manager at RSM Ireland said: “The importance of flexibility in the workplace and new ways of doing things has become extremely apparent post-pandemic and RSM Ireland is committed to maintaining and growing that flexibility across our workforce. That same approach also applies to our Graduate Programme and by having year-round interviews, we are helping to facilitate greater choice for graduates as they decide on the important next step. There are no deadlines to apply, and prospective graduates can apply at a time that suits them, with interviews being held at different junctures throughout the year.

Graduate Training Programme of the Year - Irish Accountancy Awards 2022

“Our Graduate Programme recently won ‘Graduate Training Programme of the Year’ at the 2022 Irish Accountancy Awards, which is testament to the offering we have in terms of quality of learning, experience and flexibility”, she added.

As well as flexibility, RSM Ireland’s Graduate Programme has an excellent track record, with all trainees who recently completed FAEs all passing successfully.

RSM Ireland’s Graduate Programme spans across audit, tax and consulting. With three offices in Ireland, RSM Ireland is the eight largest accounting firm in Ireland and is also part of the RSM global network of 123 countries and 860 offices worldwide. 47% of RSM Ireland clients are globally active. As well as learning from and working with RSM’s people and clients, graduates also have the opportunity to avail of secondment opportunities.

A recent graduate of the Consulting Programme, Ali O’Brien said: “One of the main reasons I enjoy working with RSM Ireland is the diversity of your every day. I’m now a Consultant on the Transformation, HR and Change and the Forensic Investigations service lines. The projects I am involved in could range from a complex workplace investigation to a review of a company’s organisational design. The experience I have gotten over the last number of years has been absolutely invaluable. Most importantly RSM Ireland encourage their employees to determine their own career path, and they support this through mentorship and further education. One of the things I love most about working with RSM is the teamwork and how cohesively we work together as a firm.”

Interviews will continue into Spring 2023, for a start date in Autumn 2023.
