Paddy O'Connell is head of Restructuring Advisory at RSM Ireland, a chartered accountant, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with more than 25 years Restructuring Advisory and Formal Insolvency experience.

Paddy is a member of RSM’s European Restructuring Group (Restructuring and Insolvency Ireland), and has a proven track record, advising on complex profile restructuring assignments including Examinerships and SCARPs, acting as Receiver on corporate and fixed charge appointments, being appointed Liquidator for creditors voluntary and Court liquidations, undertaking insolvency investigations, a specialist in structured wind-downs, corporate simplification projects and solvent winding up by way of members voluntary liquidation.

Applying his expertise across a range of sectors including real estate, construction, hospitality, financial services, manufacturing, motor, IT, and retail, Paddy has also undertaken restructuring options analysis and IBR’s for financial institutions and financial standing reviews for institutional investors and corporate clients.

Paddy has extensive property experience, is the real estate and construction sector lead within the firm, and is a member of RSM’s European Real Estate Group.
