The Opportunity

We are looking for an Audit Senior with experience specifically handling clients within the Financial Services industry (Banks, Insurance Companies, SACCOs) to join our Audit department at our Nairobi office. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Audit Manager.
 

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing the job planning schedule
  • Liaising with clients to agree the audit timeframe and other logistics, including organizing for a kick-off meeting
  • Preparation of audit plans for team leader and/or Partner approval
  • Supervising the audit team and ensuring that the work carried out by the team is in accordance with the plan
  • Carrying out an audit, following the audit plan, under the supervision of the Audit Manager
  • Carrying out any other tasks as may be delegated from time to time
     

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an Auditor, with a strong focus on auditing clients within the Financial Services Industry (e.g., banks, insurance companies, SACCOs)
  • Solid understanding of auditing, taxation, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and IAS
  • Proficiency in accounting and auditing software (CaseWare)
  • A strong understanding of data analysis techniques to support audit procedures and client reporting
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide teams, inspire collaboration, and drive results.

Educational Background

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics) from an Accredited University
  • Qualified CPA (K), or ACCA and the relevant professional membership
